Summer Band Camp Week 3 – 8/3/26 - 8/8/26** Leadership Meeting, Fundraiser continues, BPA Board Meeting, Band Fee of payment $118.25 due, 10th-12th Grade Prep Day, Adjusted schedule, HEB Card Fundraiser Drop-Off, Pool Party, Band Picture Day!**

What an awesome start to the season in the first 2 weeks! We have learned so much and we’re all getting excited to share it with everyone soon!  Due to teacher inservice, this week and next week’s schedule is a little odd, so please take it day by day and plan the week out. If a ride is needed, please plan that out or request assistance in the Band App, but everyone must be at rehearsal. Students are learning new things every day and their team needs them. You will find future rehearsals on our Google Band Calendar at wcchargerband.org.

Fan Pledge Fundraiser: We have raised just over $18,000 so far!! This has earned the students their first incentive which will be NO WORKOUT FOR A DAY!!  Keep sharing the campaign using  THIS LINK with everyone you know!  Our goal is to raise $30,000!

Band Photo Day: Everyone in the program is expected to be in our group and individual photos.  You will have the opportunity to purchase the large group panoramic photo thru Loudermilk Panoramics, as well as individual photos thru BPA in person or this link: https://my.cheddarup.com/me/wcbpa

WINDS AND PERCUSSION: Travel shirt, Travel shorts, long BLACK socks, Marching shoesCOLORGUARD: Red Travel shirt, Black leggings, Black no-show socks, Black shoes*Makeup and jewelry are okay for photos, but please no unnatural hair colors (ex. blue, pink, etc)

**STUDENTS**

Check in with your section leader in regard to UDB so we are all ready for drill first thing Monday morning! Come to rehearsals having eaten and hydrated. A small snack (protein or fruit bar in your fanny pack) is welcome.  Please make sure you have khaki shorts and denim blue jeans for future public performances. Our first one is on August 14th for Meet the Band.  Make sure you speak with a director about any conflict with other camps, etc. so we can come up with a compromise so you are sure to not miss too much of one or the other.  

**PARENTS AND STUDENTS**

The first collection towards the HEB fundraiser will also be this week. Here’s how it works: 

• Collect the amount that you will be spending at HEB for the month (many people collect for family, neighbors, co-workers) 

• Turn that in with the appropriate form online or in person to the band box by the first Thursday of each month

• In two weeks, you will receive an HEB gift card for the same amount

• Once you spend that, 4% is donated back to you from HEB. It is FREE MONEY!

Scholarship recipients will be announced this week, please be patient as we had several applicants.
