Happy Mother’s Day to all the Band Mom’s and mother figures out there! Thank you for your support and dedication to the kiddos! We had a wonderful Band Banquet and got to celebrate a great school year, fantastic Senior class and welcome a new 9th grade class. Thank you to the Banquet Committee as it was a gorgeous setup for our students and families.
We are heading into Mini Band Camp and Registration Nights. This week is our Mini Band Camp Week! We will start in the band hall each day at 4:30pm. Please wear a white shirt, athletic shorts and shoes. Bring your instrument and we will get you some music. If you need a school owned instrument, we will have one for you to check out once our rental form is complete. ALL students in the 2026-2027 Band/Colorguard Program will need to fill out these forms ahead of time before your registration night. Registration nights are mandatory. If you have siblings in the program, please pick one day for all siblings to attend. We will have a 6pm Parent Performance on Friday; students please wear your campus shirts to celebrate your school.
Veteran students, YOU MUST bring your travel shirt, band shorts, marching shoes and water jug to pass inspection on your registration night. If they are in good condition to use again, that will save you money! If you do not have them or they are not in good condition, you will have to pay for new items. Here is the schedule for the week:
***STUDENTS: Mini Band Camp and Registration Night is mandatory as we must measure you and purchase your required items for next year. If you have siblings, please pick one day to attend together so it saves your family a night of coming back to campus. Veterans, you must bring travel shirt, water jug, band shorts, marching shoes to pass inspection so you do not need to re-order. It is easier if you come dressed in everything holding your water jug.
***PARENTS AND STUDENTS: Your presence is needed and mandatory for registration nights. Please see above for your assigned day. Veterans - items such as shoes, travel shirt, shorts, etc. will need to be paid so we can order them. Please have card, check, cash or money order. Online forms can be done NOW to save you time. Costa Rica trip - we have about 40 registered for the trip and you are highly encouraged to attend. Remember this is for 2026-2027 Charger Band Program students and their immediate guardians. **If you are still not on Cuttime, which means you are not receiving emails (after you have checked your spam folder), please have your child create their account on Cuttime and then you can follow that and build your relationship to your child. You can do that on the homepage You can also follow along with the band app. Please start using the google calendar for up to date Charger Band happenings. You can sync the calendar to your smart phone by clicking the +google button at the bottom right of the calendar at www.wcchargerband.org.
