Week 16 - 12/1/25 - 12/5/25 - Band Hall Holiday decorating, Band Rehearsals, Winterguard Staging, Region Band Auditions, HEB Card Money Drop Off
Welcome Back, everyone! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving Break. As always, we are thankful for YOU! As we start stepping towards the early stages of the next semester, we will begin our concert ensemble rehearsals, percussion ensembles, winterguard and jazz season. Be on the look out for more Region Audition Information, but please know that it will be at Reagan High School this week. Lastly, we will have some time to decorate the band hall for the holidays! If you have any decorations you would like to bring or decorate with, please bring them with you at 8:15am Monday.
Lastly, one of our jazz combos, The Rivercity Jazz Collective, will be performing at the February 4th Spurs game! They will be playing the national anthem and everyone is invited. *****STUDENTS: Please bring any decorations with you on Monday to share in the band hall! Winds need to turn in their Intonation Chart on Monday in classes. To those auditioning for Region - Best of Luck to you all! Individual rehearsals start this week, so please be where you need be early and ready to go. **
***PARENTS AND STUDENTS: Wind players have homework due on Monday. Please make sure that gets turned in. Please talk with your kiddo and know what band class (Wind Ensemble, Symphonic, Concert) so you know which rehearsal they are required to be at. For the Band students, they will have a once a week full band rehearsal until the Christmas Break. After the New Year, they will begin sectionals.
If you are still not on Cuttime, which means you are not receiving emails (after you have checked your spam folder), please have your child create their account on Cuttime and then you can follow that and build your relationship to your child. You can do that on the homepage You can also follow along with the band app. Please start using the google calendar for up to date Charger Band happenings. You can sync the calendar to your smart phone by clicking the +google button at the bottom right of the calendar at www.wcchargerband.org. Thank you to our sponsors!

* Those auditioning for Region Band will be released 8th period. Students must arrive early before your start time to check in to your room, warm up, tune, and mentally prepare for your audition. Have something quiet to do in the room while not performing (homework, book to read, coloring book, etc.). Bring a bottle of water with you as well and perhaps a jacket or hoodie and gloves, but nothing that identifies you as a Churchill student. Transportation to and from Reagan HS is not provided as staggered release times happen all evening long. Please plan for your own transportation. Best of luck to all those auditioning!
