Here comes the month of April and it will be the busiest one!

During this month we begin planning for next year, while having so many important events for our current school year. Take time to go week to week and day by day. We will have our first installment of band fees for the 2025-2026 school year begin so we can have supplies and instruction for the Summer. You can play those online or in person in the band hall or front office.

SATURDAY – Band Solo and Ensemble Contest 8:00am – 3:00pm – at CHS – assigned individual times (dressed semi formal i.e. Button-down long sleeve shirt, tie, slacks, coat jacket, modest dress, skirt, blouse – no jeans)

***STUDENTS: There is a lot going on this week and we end with a grade check. Please make sure you are passing all your classes and work is turned in. Come out to Nicha’s to support your jazz friends on their first solo combo gig. Head over to La Cantera to cheer on your drumline in their gig. Make sure to have your proper attire (concert black) for UIL. Ladies: you must have black leggings or pantyhose for your skirts or dresses that are not full length. Gentlemen: you must have a long black necktie and long black socks with dress all black shoes.

***PARENTS AND STUDENTS: You are invited to the UIL performances at Madison HS. We would love to see you in the audience. The 1st Installment of 2025-2026 Band Fees ($135) is due this week. You can pay online on our Cuttime website starting April 1st . When you receive the weekly email from me, click on it, go to the Dashboard and go to Transactions to begin your payment on April 1st. You can also make payments by cash, check or money order (made out to Churchill) and complete a dropoff at the band hall or front office. Also, fundraisers are going on to assist with band fees. Selling advertisements for the band yearbook will give you 80% back on your students band fees. Please take advantage of that fundraiser. More info in the band app!
