Week 30- 3/30/26 - 4/3/26 - Mandatory Student Meeting, Rehearsals, UIL at Madison HS, Guard Experience Camps, Senior Banquet Meeting, HEB Card Money Drop off
Congratulations to our Winterguard for being named the CHAMPIONS of Scholastic A at the TECA State Contest! We are so proud of you!! Congratulations to the Jazz Ensemble for receiving Superior Ratings and two Outstanding Soloist Awards to Willard and Elijah! Thank you to the parents that came out to support both programs this weekend!
Students will have a quick meeting Monday morning to recognize the two groups as a program and share some important information for the future. Please do everything you can to be in the Band Hall at 8:30am.
UIL Week is here! Parents and families, you are invited to attend as the band students have been working hard these last few months and they would love to share that music with you.
Here is the schedule for the week:
***STUDENTS: We will have a meeting Monday morning for the entire program; please do all you can to attend as we have information to share. We are headed into UIL Week. Please have the proper attire (gentlemen: we did not do well with long black neck ties at Pre-UIL. Do better please). Ladies please make sure you have long black tights/leggings/panty hose if you are wearing an appropriate length skirt. Spaghetti straps are not an option, but we do have concert dresses if you still need. Wind Ensemble, please bring a sack lunch with you to eat during WIN time.
***PARENTS AND STUDENTS: You are invited to UIL at Madison HS! Please come out to support each student in the band program as everyone has been working hard and we want to share our music with you. April will start our new payment plan for the 2026-2027 school year. You must have fees paid in full. This is extremely important. Please use our fundraiser of Yearbook adds - sell any band yearbook ads and get 80% back. Please get band fees paid in full and finalized by the end of the month. In addition to cash, check, money order, you can now go through Cutttime and pay off your fees.
Our Jazz Ensemble was asked to perform at the Texas Band Masters Association Convention in July! The students are excited for it, so please mark your calendars for July 16 - 18th.
If you are still not on Cuttime, which means you are not receiving emails (after you have checked your spam folder), please have your child create their account on Cuttime and then you can follow that and build your relationship to your child. You can do that on the homepage You can also follow along with the band app. Please start using the google calendar for up to date Charger Band happenings. You can sync the calendar to your smart phone by clicking the +google button at the bottom right of the calendar at www.wcchargerband.org. Thank you to our sponsors!
